In the kettlebell class this morning we added some animal walks to compliment the work done with the Kettlebell workout.
Animal walks with and without kettlebells activate the whole body and they give full body workouts. They are very very effective in targeting the CORE as it works the core in a functional way. Some animal walks are more effective on the core than others and can be very challenging at times.
Animal walks done in the Kettlebell class include:
Bear walk with Kettlebells (done on Wednesday morning)
Bear walk without Kettlebells (will target the hamstrings a bit more)
Bear crawl with Kettlebells (done on Wednesday morning)
Bear crawl without Kettlebells (we do them in the SuperCore class from time to time)
Inch worm with push-up (done on Wednesday morning)
Inch worm with no pushup, 1 pushup, 2 pushups etc (we do them from time to time)
Tiger crawl with pushup (done on Wednesday morning) - pushup is an offset pushup and targets the chest in a very different way than a straight pushup
Tiger crawls with no pushup, 2 pushups etc (we do them from time to time
Dragon walk (we do them from tme to time) and they target the legs and core
Duck walk (also done from time to time) with and without kettlebells - also a big quad exercise (and core)
We do more, but these are the main ones we use in the class on a fairly regular basis.
Join us one of these days for a class and you will feell and notice the benefits from Kettlebell training and the animal walk exercises.
See you in class...
..sorry I missed this.... but on the other hand.. who knows?? looks like it was fun playing with the animals again
ReplyDeleteYa - it was a bit of a Zoo with bear walks and crawls and tiger crawls and inch worms :)
ReplyDeletethen it was good that I could not make it... I normally feel like a (Bostrychia hegedash) Hadeda (for those who do not know) and the inch worms would have been in trouble....
